So tomorrow is the next race day. I will be focusing on the bikes as the BMW 120D is not being entered this event (plan is to have at the track day on Saturday), although I will still be helping GNSS Racings Honda in the touring cars. Another easy race day then given the bikes are in garage 1 and the Honda in garage 8......

We have 30 cars racing around the Oval circuit, so sadly, will not be able to pop over.

Good luck to all teams participating.

Good luck Ian, I have a 6.30 drive to Abu Dhabi for the first round of the Mens Open.

Hoping to play enough to get more of a lie in on Sat!

doubt i'll make the circuit tomorrow as my company have rented out the sheraton beach club for the annual fun day. i'll either be there or brunching but will be on track saturday evening.

We will kick-off at 13:30 (first car on the track). Drivers need to be there for 12:15ish for scrutineering etc. Last car will be on the Track at 17:00 ish.

Its basically AutoX - we will make up a course layout that you have to follow (both on and off the oval circuit) with a Stop Box at the end. Timing is by stopwatch only. Time starts when you set off and stops when you come to a complete stop in the Stop Box at the end.

Can be very, very competitive, but fun too as you have the fast section on the Oval circuit and then technical bits around cones etc.

ETA: only one car on the track at a time, however, we do sometimes try two cars, providing its safe to do so.

Some of the more AutoX orientated cars have a hydraulic one fitted, but not necessary, especially on the wider circuits. Jebal Ali Kart track, which we often use, then yes, one would be very helpful.

Well what a good day. 2 wins for Mahmoud Tannir in the 600cc class means he has now 10 wins form 12 races (all down to his race engineer.......... that will be me then!).

How did the Evolve event go?

Ian,

Went well - as per "normal" UAE rules and Regs, we only had 23 drivers actually take part of the 30 that had their names down and CONFIRMED, but hey, thats life!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very, very good turn-out though from a spectator point of view, the standard of driving was very good and competition was fierce amongst the 3 Groups (AWD, FWD, RWD).

Cameo appearance from Uncle Zlatko & Spencer too (not driving mind)
