Hatta Crossing to Dubai road

Hi.

I haven't driven this route for about a 18 months, I'll be coming over from Muscat and it might be dark by the time I get to here. Are there any new obstacles or camouflaged speed humps on the road through Madam to Dubai (E44?)? I know there is one extra border checkpoint just by the 'camel fence'. Anything else? Someone told me there were two checkpoints (not including the two main Oman/UAE border checkpoints/passpot control points

Yes, there are now two check-points once you cross into UAE - some damn nasty speed humps there too

Yep - two check points as you go back into the last finger of Oman and out again having travelled through Hatta. Some bored looking guards glance at your ID as you roll past but that's it.
