if you know one [pref. already in the region] then have them send me a CV. must have experience with PLC programming and SCADA systems.

based dubai, mix of project design and field commissioning. expect plenty of travel.

we are fairly desperate.

doesn't everybody?

we could really use two guys, jr and sr. would go down to young ex-apprentice for the jr.

desperate enough to have just paid half an annual salary to a company for 2 weeks work. for the right guy already in country [i.e. no agency or relocation fees to pay] i'd wager the package would be sufficient.

Having gone through the same recently - good luck, there's a real short supply (of good ones) it seems.

our current one is excellent, but he's had enough of the desert and setting up his own company. likely we'll end up paying him a fortune for a year or so!

we interviewed a 20yr old lad for the jr role who hadn't even finished his apprenticeship at home, but he seems to think he can earn what my manager does at his age so he was told to git tae fk.

I'll put the word around, our sister company does petrochemical control systems. I can program Mitsubishi PLCs, build panels, design circuits etc. etc. but I'm ten years too old for the Middle East wink
