Can anyone give me a good idea of where to go for the above? We will be a group with ages up to 65! However, it also happens to be an 18th birthday for one young lass, so we need somewhere nice but will cater for the wide ages. I for one like to hear the conversation and hate crowds, whereas I imagine the 18 yerar old would like something a little livlier! Any ideas?

I am taking Ian to Sandance. He is in his 40's (hehe) and we are meeting other friends there who are in their 50's...

Desert is always a good option.

Don't got to far and if it is clear sit on top of a dune and watch ALL the fireworks.

2nd Mr Bailey's option. I have spent 4 new years eves in the desert.

Fire + bbq + beer + Burj fireworks

Sadly this year SWMBO has decreed we are going to see Coldplay and that I am driving. Not I wanted to do but there you go, but it should give me some points in the bag....
