Is this on the television over here? A mate of mine will be in town on business tomorrow and, for some reason, he wants to watch the Sunderland against Blackburn football match.

He's staying in the Crowne Plaza hotel. Does anyone know if it'll be on his hotel telly or if any bars will show the match?

Which Crowne Plaza?

The one I use now for games is the bar at the Byblos Hotel in TECOM as they show all of them.

Unfortunately, it's the one furthest away from where I live i.e. the one on Salahuddin Road in Deira.

ummm - I'm guessing that somewhere like Goodfellas in Bur Dubai near Computer Plaza would be an option - short trip over the Creek for him and they have every game on as well.

Yeah, it couldn't be a worse location for me but his meetings are mostly in Sharjah so I suppose it makes sense.
