The lot I've seen have been practicing for the Sitting on Arse Doing Nothing Marathon - 26 hours long.
You also have the Shwarma baton relay. At the first beep of the horn a little Indian fella runs 50 metres out to a waiting White Patrol and takes the order. The order is passed and he runs 50 metres back. A baton is collected and then he runs back to the Patrol. First to get diabetes wins.
Tbh, all you'll see is a bunch of small Filipino women running around as the fkers are too lazy to do it themselves.

I was chatting to a mate of mine a while back about driving here. He said that he found it very stressful as everyone was always beeping, flashing their lights and swerving all over the place. Very rude he thought. While the standards ar obviously bad here, people aren't really rude.
Anyway, a few weeks later I had the pleasure of getting a lift with him. Jesus! I've never been more scared in my life. He had absolutely no idea what was going on. Drifting from lane to lane, no indication, always doing something else except thinking about where he was going and consequently was always cutting people up to get to the turn etc...
When I pointed out the reason why everyone was beeping etc... he was shocked.
Maybe it's me - maybe all I see is what I've posted above and the reality is the opposite. Maybe living in Al Barsha was actually a dream and it wasn't the maids or restaurant guys running all over the place.
