Staff in Abu Dhabi
Discussion
Morning all,
I have been given the opportunity to have a staff member in the Middle East and was hoping I could seek some advise from others here, A few things that come to my mind as follows but no doubt many more to consider.
1) Can I open a subbranch of my Uk company or does it need to be an official company in AbuDhabi
2) Are non UAE nationals allowed to do that
3) Expected salary for experienced Indian staff member, he informs me his current is 1000dhs per month, does this sound about right
4)Would I be better in another Middle East county Dubai maybe ?
5)Offices, simple set up, Phone, Computer etc, What should this cost me, any possibilities to rent office space from other companies ?
6) Monthly salary would come from the UK, Can that be done, do I need to pay taxes etc in country of employment ?
Thanks all !

1 & 2. Non GCC (gulf cooperation council, includes Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi, UAE Qatar, and Oman) nationals must open a limited liability company (LLC) and they must have a local partner who owns a minimum of 51% of the shares.I have been given the opportunity to have a staff member in the Middle East and was hoping I could seek some advise from others here, A few things that come to my mind as follows but no doubt many more to consider.

You can set a 100% foreign owned company in one of the UAE free zones, Jebel Ali, Hamriyah, Ras al Khaimah, etc, but this might not a practical solution for you because it depends on exactly what you want to acheive?
3. Experienced in what? Maybe there is a typo in your post because 1000 Dhs is about constructon labourer level. Again, what position will he fill?
4. Dubai is in the same country as Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. There seven Emirates in a Federal system.
5. Doubt whether any company would sub let offices, in order to register your company you need to have your own office. You could employ someone by proxy, I,e, make a deal an existing company to employ them in their name and do your business that way. However this route is fraught with problems for both parties.
6. In order for someone to be legally employed here, they must have a residence visa from a legally established business. There no personal taxes here, but there are fees to be payed, for the residence visa for example.
I have four businesses in UAE, one in Abu Dhabi, one in Dubai, and two in the Jebel Ali free zone. If you send me a mail detailing what you want to do, I can give you some more advice.
