Admittedly, it didn't last long but around 5:30 this morning, as I crossed over from Dubai to Abu Dhabi at Ghantoot (the Geordie cry for 'I'm popping to the shops'), there was a brief heavy shower.
bucketed down here last night, and it was 6degC when i set out this morning. i haven't missed rain, but a crisp autumnal morning with birds singing at sunrise is quite welcome.
