I suppose with a title like that it should have been a pick-up, but it's a Yank so I feel justified!

She's a 2005 C6 manual with low KMs and a decent service history.
Already got a couple of niggling issues to sort, but Saluki will shortly be on the case.

It's nice to have something with power after 8 months of hire car dross.

nice one del, ls2 or ls3? either way, only about a 350bhp increase over the lancer.

if you don't mind saying, which dealer was it and how painful was it to deal with them?

Cracking car Del. A mate has one and I've never really looked at them before, but they are stunning.

Enjoy.

ps - You live in the Ranches?

It's an LS2 with the Z51 performance package.
rated at 400 hourses and they all feel in fine fettle... it's a decent drive actually, just a little quiet.

Bought from a private vendor through Dubizzle, it was a totally painless process.

I actually live in Springs, just spend most of my social time in the Ranches.

Not to piss on your bonfire Del, but I also got a new car today - I believe I have reached the pinnacle of Automotive perfection, a car that turns heads everywhere it goes, and being a MY2012 it features all the latest technological advances, like a CD player.

Yes, I know what you're thinking, something exotic and Italian - but no, I present the NIssan Sunny 'Classic'.

Who needs a big V8 when you have 1.6 litres of power to play with...

Lol... one of my colleagues picked up a new Ford Edge today as well...... cost him substantially more than the 'Vette cost me..... given he's here on his own as well I really don't understand.

I tried negotiating with the company, saying give me an allowance instead - but they would have none of it, their attitude towards cars is somewhat 'Soviet'.

I'm doing my best to run it in as per the book, warming it up gently and not over-revving it and varying the revs whilst driving into the ground.

Cracking purchase Del.

When I first arrived here a colleague had exactly the same model, took me for a spin on second day at work, big grin factor.

His roof creaked a lot when it was on but otherwise was a lovely place to sit.

If you work for Nokia, it's probably the same car lol
Can't talk about the roof creaking, I took it out 5 minutes after buying the car and it's not been back in since.

I don't recall mine creaking on the test drive, but I've bookmarked the thread you linked to anyway just in case.
A helpful bunch Corvette owners, I got onto one of the US based ones yesterday and within 30 minutes had a copy of the full factory spec of the car, recalls, warranty work etc etc.

Just need to sort some new rear boots now.

His was black but otherwise identical.

Owned it 18 months and sold it for more than he bought it for which was good going

Give Stu a call at Pirelli - 055 9342020: See what he has on either Pirelli or Nitto tyres. I run Nitto's on my CR8 - cheap as chips and get circa 35,000km out of the rears and amazingly 60,000km from the fronts.
