yep. swigging coke and carrying a 'racing / hangover' packed lunch consisting of footlong subway, cigs and redbull.

I missed the FG1000 race. Arse.

Arrived in time for the Radicals. Was the most boring race I have ever seen. 7 cars each with 100m of space in front and behind. Expensive trackday for those fellas.

I really want to like trips up to the Autodrome and I appreciate that it is free to attract people.

However it just leaves me feeling cold, I arrived for the first Radical race, echo Harris' sentiments above.

Then the bike racing was curtailed due to a crash hope he was ok (never nice to see someone being put on a stretcher, precautionary I hope).

Touring cars next, usually good racing except it just seemed like a procession, Seat's owning all, I did feel sorry for the little yellow Civic that was racing himself.

By the time that finished I was hot, bored and frustrated that I don't have a long, fast lens to catch the action so left.

I don't know how they can make it more exciting tbh, it just seems devoid of any kind of spectacle.

My limited attempts at some racing shots are below.

Yes, no problem

My 18-105 is really not up to the task, but it was a useful first exercise!

The Seats (and the Astra) are in Class 1 with the Hondas and Clio's in class 2. Both the touring car and bike races had plenty of racing with good battles through most of the grid.

Shame about the Radicals and FG1000 having small grids.

Still in 2 weeks time the GT's come out to play for the 1st time. Hopefully we have our car (white Honda Civic) back to full power and racing for class wins.

I did miss the noise of the GT boys, hopefully it will be busier as it should be a little cooler.

I'm not sure if the GT grid will be any better. I hear PR about a Ferrari 458 and other exotica, but a fair few of last year's drivers are not driving this year.

I enjoyed it most when the touring cars and the GTs were on one grid. That was mad.

There was a time, not long ago, when they used to invite the various Car Clubs to let them show their Members cars in the Paddock Area e.g. Evolve, BMW, Corvette, GTZ Clubs used to have good numbers showing up, which not only brought their owners and g/f's, wives etc to the DA, but also people who come to look at the the cars. We at Evolve were invloved in many a racing event.
