and has asked what to do. I'm compiling a list and have become stuck on the following...

The Tower of London
The Millennium Wheel
A West End Show
Shopping in the West End
The Science Museum
The Natural History Museum
The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben etc.

Now, SHE is a Chelsea fan, so I suggested a trip to Stanford Bridge. However, do you think the Abaya would cause an issue??!!!

What else can I suggest? I guess The Axe is out, as is your favourite pub. The thing is, the above will take a day, two max. She is planning to go for a week. Would a trip outside London be an idea? But where and what to do/see.

Many thanks.

Is she travelling as a group? Does she have kids, family or friends travelling with her? It might be easier to tailor the suggestions accordingly if we knew.

Brilliant suggestions, ta.
Sorry, should have added she is an early 30's lady, who is lovely. She's be travelling with her brother. Oh, and is fairly well-to-do, so a posh hotel won't impress her too much!
I just need to check on the Abaya.....not sure how other Chelsea fans would react!

Don't be silly Chilli - the planes operate a magic changing system in the toilets - like Superman's phonebooth.

Enter as a conservative Emirati woman, emerge as a slutty tart.

None of the Emirati's I know wear national dress outside of the country unless they are attending an event which requires it.

If she's got a week, she should spend 6 days outside London. Obviously I am slightly biased.

Is she into literature? (Yes, I know she's Emirati smile ). Was going to suggest Hardy's Wessex, Bronte's Yorkshire, Tolkien's shires, that kind of thing. Oxford is awesome. The Lake District is one of the most beautiful places in the world.

On the other hand she could just go round in a circle on the Eye. Meh.

I hear what you're saying Matt!
I had to ask about the Abaya as I didn't want her to attend Stamford Bridge and be ruined.....not in that way you dirty boys. It's ok though, normal attire and a headscarf will be worn.

Cracking suggestions, especially the Lake District.

Out of the two, Leeds Castle is far more impressive, imho, but then again, I live near Windsor, so am used to the "council house on the hill".

This - I was upgraded to First a while back on an Emirates flight to London. I got on with a bunch of frock wearing blokes and ninja'd up ladies. I fell asleep and they all magically got off the plane mid-flight and were replaced by a bunch of olive skinned Westeners with big noses clothed in the latest fashions.

what is the custom on national dress? it's not required by sharia is it? [for blokes at least]. i see el presidente is quite the dapper don when he goes on foreign visits.
