WANTED: MINI Cooper S - Manual - 2006

Hello fellow PHers,
Now that the LR2 has gone off to pastures new, I'm after a new set of wheels - specifically a MINI Cooper S (first gen supercharged one), ideally a 2006 model.
I'm not too bothered about colour/spec, just so long as the engine and the gearbox are present and correct.
If anyone hears of one on offer, please drop me a note here and I'll follow up. I've looked at a couple on Dubizzle - one was an absolute dog which had a total repair bill of 35k in past 6 months plus drove so bad it wasn't even funny. I've had an offer turned down on another, but he's after too much money considering there's a few niggles.
I'm shocked at just how bad a condition people can keep their cars in - though of course, they're advertised as being 'as-new'. I'm half considering finding a well-looked after example in the States and bringing it over, but ideally would like a local car.
I'm in Dubai with cash ready for the right car,
