Well, I am moving to UAE at the end of next week and will be needing a car at some point in the first couple of weeks. i will be renting on a monthly basis to start with and wonder if anyone know a place to rent something a bit interesting for this. By interesting I don't mean a 458, Lambo etc. Just something a bit more satisfying to steer than a yaris or accord.

A V8 something or other would be good, or 6 cylinder BMW.

Obviously lower price equals better, but not hamstrung by it.

Any ideas?

I will need it probably for just 3 months, until I get settled and buy my own car so I am not sure whether that classifies as a lease or rent.

Oilydan, if watching this, what is the deal with your lumina?

Don't know if dealers in Dubai do it...but Liberty Chevrolet in Abu Dhabi (well Mussafah anyhow) hire cars (or at least there's a menu of prices per day for various cars in the service reception). It ranges from Malibu's through to Lumina and Caprice SS models and even Hummers and Escalades. Can't remember what the fees were but I guess a quick phone call would sort it...
