No answers so far sort of sum this up.

Even when you think they're good they still balls everything up. Same with gardeners - all are pretty useless.

I've heard good things about Jim'll Fix It as it's Brit run. Maybe try them.

Seconded, they've done some work for me and it was faultless.... they're possibly not the cheapest but they are very good.

Thirded on Jim Will Fix It, we use them for everything AC/Plumbing/Electrical as said before not the cheapest but they turn up on time and fix the problem.

Unless it is painting and decorating and then we use Emrill who are the cheapest to slap on a couple of coats of Dubai Beige.

I actually ended up using an outfit called mr fix who were pretty good
