Insurance renewal

Soooo, insurance up for renewal on the GT3, I was interested to see how this would go:

RSA expiry @ AED 12,250 (value AED 250,000)
Excess AED 2,000

Renewal sent @ AED 9,269 (12 months instead of 13 month expiry policy, and 1 years UAE license main reasons for reduction)
Excess AED 1,500

Got terms from AXA @ AED 7,856, RSA matched.

Got terms from Noor Takaful for AED 5,836 - although coverage was limited compared to RSA Executive policy. RSA came down to AED 6,950 to secure, and I signed up.

Not bad I thought, seems like they much prefer it when you have at least 1 years worth of UAE license, this was my first renewal here. Full NCB, 13 years driving, no accidents etc...

Nice to see our insurance costs reducing here whilst in Europe everyone is being bent over!

that's 2.3% by my reckoning, a steal mate (assume its still valued at 250k?)

got mine down to just over 2k this year, was 7k when first registered it in 2008

My insurance dropped 50% this year which was pretty handy.
