I've got the top package from Du, but it's just not cutting it. Motogp is rarely on and always in Arabic, and I can't stand the Arabic commentary for the F1. WSB and BSB don't seem to feature at all. As for OSN's screening of Le Mans.....well.
So, does anyone know if I bought the biggest and best dishes around could I get BBC1/2 and Eurosport?

Oh, a few channels for adults only might be nice....for the Mrs you understand.

Eurosport appears to be possible off the Hotbird satellite, and there's "channels for the wife" on there as well.
You don't need a huge dish here for Hotbird, but I'm not sure how you'd get the subscription cards to allow you to watch.

Astra satellite appears to be a complete no here..... there are rumours that it might be possible with a 5 or 7m dish, but I imagine the neighbours might complain if you built GCHQ in your back yard!

  • cough* *cough* Satwa & Dish TV from India - they can provide the decoder, card and dish. Not got it myself but the OH has the details at home. I can ask at the weekend if you like.

I used to have Hotbird in the old place. In fact, I still have the dish and decoder, but no idea how to sort it all out, and even if it'll work with the Current Du set-up. You know, it's at times like this that I wished I had kids.

Point the dish at the satellite, plug it into the decoder and turn it on surely?
I don't think the Du setup will have anything to do with it, the decoder will just be another TV source surely?

Whilst I like your kind of thinking, it really isn't that simple. For example, the dish is currently sitting on the roof. Not attached to anything, just sitting there! The boxes are under the stairs, and the Du/surround sound occupies all the sockets in the back of the tely. I need a teenager.

Well, the 55inch in the lounge has only 1. The 37 in the bedroon has 2 and I'm not sure about the 42 sitting on the floor of the spare room!
They are only cheap LG ones.
