Canadian GP - Confirmed location to watch
Discussion
Finally a venue to watch the GP races complete with English commentary.
I was chatting to the manager of the ground floor bar inside the Movenpick Hotel on the Walk at JBR last night.
He confirms that the GPs are shown on the biiiig screen with the English commentary, both the Quali and Race and they even show the Practise sessions as long as there's no football on.
I'm heading there for the Canadian event on Sunday night, hope he's as good as his word.

Del, if he ain't then the belgian cafe at the grand millenium will 100% def. have it in english. i caught the tail end of the monaco gp there and have just come up to my room from watching a bit of the practice session.
given i've done 12hr days all week and worked today i should be good for a free pass to watch the whole race sunday if you want company.
eta - that's all the plasmas plus the big screen above the bar.

I had no idea about happy hour, hence not answering the question, but having sat in the Movenpick until 1.40am this morning I can confirm that it is 15 AED for a vodka and coke and it seems that those prices last all night!! (much like the race lol)
Good crowd in?Good place to watch as well, comfy beanbag style chairs, a 12ft (at least) screen, BBC commentary and waitress service, what more can you ask for!
