This hot weather is making me rather thirsty. When are we all doing beers?

Sounds like a plan, however I cannot do a shcool night anymore...too old and have no willpower to stop at a reasonable time!

I'm off to the UK on Thursday to my mate's wedding. I'll be back on 4th June and definitely up for a PH beer when I get back.

i think i'm meeting emsman again weds night if anyone fancies it. can't match him pint for pint though, the man redefines thirsty!

first brunch this friday so i expect the weekend to be quite painful. one thing i've learnt is that hangovers out here are bloody awful.

i actually agree. i've got a project on which requires me to be out in the yard most mornings for the next couple of weeks and i am not doing that with a hangover!

can't do this thursday if required but i've got my first brunch this friday so the beer monkey has advised i should attack it with a fresh head & stomach for max. advantage!

double decker. apparently cheap and appropriately sleazy. tis one of the HR girl's birthday so it'll be a brunch/club/house party kind of mess.

i did an evening one last week at the media rotana but that didn't include spirits which is poor form.

PS - i have already done my dubai induction of rattlesnakes/rock bottom/york hotel biggrin

I've been and think it's excellent!

Has anyone ever popped into the Moscow hotel? 21 years old, gorgeous, and AED1k per night......apparently.

i was quoted 500 in the york!

rattlesnakes coule easily become my local. the band was great and it had that crapness/sweatiness to it that i look for in a boozer. playing pool and losing to a hooker was just a bonus. miss-spent youth, those girls hehe

I had a mate come over for a short building contract and he bought 6 colleagues with him. They all ended up in the York, and they all made a purchase!
The following day the youngest guy was quoted as saying ....."She ruined me"!

The band in the Rattlesnake is superb....better than the warm 20ml tin of Stella I was given when I first arrived.

i was engaged in 'business patter' before i even reached the bar in the york. stop talking to your mates for 2 seconds and there's someone at your arm with a fresh pitch. most amusing but extremely testing of one's composure.

Right so the York it is.....just need to make sure we all hold hands on the way in!
