Bashed up GT3 near MOE
Discussion
Mate of mine spotted this today.
997 GT3 on Saudi plates. Has a UAE Porsche club number on the side so perhaps it was crashed at a track day then dumped. One of the sides is bashed in and part of the bumper shattered. One of the windows in partly down with the insides filthy and the outside covered in an inch of dust. He reckons it must have been there for months.
What a shame
Anyone know the story and could you simply go and lift it if it has been abandoned? No Police stickers on it apparently.

Would the lump fit in your Cayman?
With a bit of spannering, I'm sure I could sort something out...There's a whole lot of other ancillaries and stuff that would be nice on my CS
I'd be lying if I said it hasn't crossed my mind.
Any idea what the law is for abandoned vehicles?

Virtually impossible to claim and register is my understanding.
From a thread on Dubai Petrolheads a long time ago, I seem to remember reaching the conclusion you would probably die of high blood pressure brought on by frustration at the bureaucracy involved well before you were able to claim the vehicle.
It's probably on finance otherwise it wouldn't have been abandoned for so long. Trying to find the bank that owns it could be a tad tricky. Then one day at the RTA you will be directed for the seventh time to another counter, and as you are standing in the two hour queue to speak to the big boss that you do in fact now own this car, you will randomly and without any warning brutally slash a meat cleaver across the poor desk clerk's neck. As you are being waterboarded whilst suffering massive internal haemorrhaging at the local cop shop, you will wonder why all this is happening to you as you will have absolutely no recollection of the day's events.
Whoah. What just happened there? I was just day dreaming and random words just appeared on my screen....
