For a weekend......

Nearest the pin at the Ultimate golf challenge at Jumeirah Golf Estates yesterday.

Can have it all day Friday and Saturday on a weekend between now and October.

Just had a look on the website, I will be aiming for a 550 smile

Absolutely.....I wonder if you can get all 4 wheels off the ground by hitting one of the Palm speed bumps at 120?

Edited to add....Well done OP!!! How far away were you?

'Nothing handles like a hire car' wink

I was about 12 feet, on 6 on the Earth course, pin cut front left just over the water

Tournament was played off the same tees they use for the DWC, all 7600 yards of it, beat me up to be honest, was probably the best shot I hit all day

I have a whole new bunch of respect for tour pro's. I consider myself pretty good at the game, granted I didn't do anything well yesterday but fk me, 'those guys are good'.

I played a few times with a scratch golfer. His brother was on the tour (briefly) and my mate said the difference between him and his brother was massive. Then his brother wouls say that the gap between him and the tour guys was massive....imagine the top players!

I hit one at about 70kmh (no joke) just in front of Atlantis in a Tiida and did take off, all 4 wheels off the ground. Landed with an almighty crash, I thought the front suspension was mullered and the front bumper would be hanging off. Stopped the car. Got out. Looked fine, no damage to bumper, shocks still bolted on. got in, drove a bit at 10kmh, felt fine. Upped the speed. Felt fine. Drove for another few days before giving it back, all fine. Tough old car that Tiida!

More than can be said for my 'grale after the same on a straight fast stretch of road near the Hatta desert. Unsignposted unmarked black speed hump @ 100kph = new bumper, 2 new wheels and tyres, 4 rebuilt shocks, new engine mounts and a fresh geo. It's been 3 months in the workshop and still not finished.

Anyway, back on topic, congrats on the beemer, dxbtiger! Must admit, lately I've been fantasising about a 535d estate (yes, I'm turning into my dad).

That's st but it doesn't surprise me.

Of all the cars posted, it's the one I really want to have a poke around.

looks stunning - I'd be forever grateful for a +1 next time you take it for a spin - as long as it's not like the first time you had the GT3 on slicks and we were going round corners with you shouting, 'I have no idea when these tyres will let go!' hehe

The grale is a four seater right. So Harris and Asterix up front, me + 1 other in the back. Sounds like a plan to me.

Damn, I feel your pain, although mine just needed new shocks....but I'm sure new wheels as well, but it'll be px'd before then!

Good luck with getting it back.

Thanks to Oilydan, I was able to drive the 535 at the UAE launch at DA last year (I think it was).

Pretty quick motor, have to admit, full of bells and whilstles and it fecking even parallel parks itself (scary st)

Well done though on winning it for the weekend.
