Did everyone get made redundant?

I’m looking to ppf my car and they offer to protect the wheels. I’ve never heard of this before and I don’t understand the need. Is it pointless?

I actually did get made redundant. Officially ‘at risk’ as my department is being disbanded and offshored. Yay.
