Afternoon all,

I've taken Thursday 28th on holiday, but my little cherubs are at school. This gives me the freedom to trundle off round some of Surrey & Hampshire's green lanes.

Anyone fancy joining me?

I would do if I had either Landy in London, but they're both up in Leicester at the moment and logistically neither will make it down here until June.

I'll give you a wave as I come past.

I may also rooooooost you but hey thats the thing with 1 wheel drive and about 40bhp at the rear wheel on the new enduro bike.

The lanes are dry as hell - you wont find it a challenge at all, seriously pray for rain if you want anything thats any kind of a challenge.

The only one I've really ever found a challenge even when wet around us was Beggar's Lane, which sadly is no more. Going down that on road tyres before I got my ATs and discovering just how said tyres interacted with wet chalk was interesting, to say the least!

I was more interested in just finding some new lanes I'd not done before, really. I think I've covered pretty much everything around Dorking & Shere, so was thinking of heading to the Devil's Punchbowl or into Hampshire.

I have heard the Shere lane is under threat of closure because of the antics of F/Witts on bikes and other 4x4's that can't stick to the marked route up near the top.

Slowly all the lanes are going because of these turds.

Andy.

I was up on London Lane the other day and I know what you mean, if it's not closed this year it'll be a miracle!
