Over the last couple of weeks on PHs, I have seen several YouTube videos of 4x4ing gone bad.

In all cases, its been Russians. What is wrong with them as a race that they have such a lack of common senses that they drive a Porsche Cayenne in a river (then blowing a tyre up), or over rev a Q7 on soft sand. Surely, even basic common sense should tell them to not take a road going 4x4 to these places. Nutters! The lot of them!

We're no different. Sadly the pictures went when the company went bust, but there were pics of a road tyre shod cayenne stuck on the extreme course and langdale. They pulled off the bumper when they extracted it with the mog.

I think its a type rather than a nationality - I've just spent 80k on a 4x4 with very trick electronics so it must be better than 1k landy.

Offroading tends to attract a high proportion of redneck mentality, regardless of the cost of the vehicle or nationality involved. It's one of the reasons I go to some of the pay and play sites, it can be hugely entertaining.

Not all Russians are bad at off roading, considering the type of terrain they have I imagine that most of them are very good.

This is a small example of what some Russians offroaders get up to...

indeed- there's only been about about 3 UK teams who've done Ladoge, and only 1 that has had any success- being HOFS - Jez Goodwin.

Have a look at things like the coratia trophy as well!

Its mostly the Russian Rich that make fools of themselves- but they are SO monumentally rich that they just don't care.

Have a look at the Lena Highway- a bit like hte M1, but worse: http://www.ssqq.com/archive/vinlin27c.htm

eek Mental!! Should have bailed or stopped much sooner long before that sucked them under.

As others have said theres plenty out there, you can see it at any play day, driving like d1cks all morning and nursing a dead/damaged truck by lunch. If they manage to last any longer you can usually find them in the deepest water or tackling the steepest, muddiest hill at some point in the afternoon trying in vain to finish it off. Typically these are the people that have travelled the furthest, driven there and have the least prepared truck.
