a what car question

we are looking for a 4x4, so that i can get my dissabled wife out into the countryside, it needs to be big enough for the 2 of us, plus our 2 kids, and needs a boot big enough for a small pushchair and a wheelchair

we have between £600 and £1000 to buy something, what would you recommend?

in the past i've had an sj410 santana and a swb pajero, neither of those would be big enough for what we need

Discovery would suit your needs but for the money it would probably need a bit of work (corrosion is the Disco's main enemy).

If you have had a SWB Pajero how about a Long Wheel based one?

Disco sounds your best bet... £1000 can buy you a reasonable one .. as long as the doors and boot floor are sound you should be good to go.

Mitsubishi Delica L400 very similar to Pajero, same running gear, but more space.

That budjet a Disco or a Cherokee. The Disco will need TLC in terms of rot, they require more general maintenance, but generally don't let you down at the side of the road, they usually get you home. The cehrokee I have no experience of, but heard many good things about them, a untidy example is in budjet.

Other obtions are the bigger Jap stuff, LWB Trooper or Shogun?
