Hi all.

Just a quick one! Has anyone ventured on to the green lane Georges Lane in Bolton.

Im heading up there tomorrow with a mate and was wondering what to expect.

The whole legnth of it is on Google streetview. I'm guessing if an Astra with camera pole on the roof got along it, you should be OK. . . . . . wink

Thanks ive had a look but it stops where the road changes name. No doubt ill find out tomorrow. Thanks anyway

This lane has come under a lot of scrutiny at the moment due to some idiots going "off piste" there are signs telling the bobble-hat brigade to shop any 4x4 that they think is causing damage. (there has been a lot caused unfortunately!)
Stay on the hard track, don't go off into the ruts, or up the bankings. In fact I would stay well clear of it for some time.

Been up and down this many times on trail bike, its easier than it used to be !
4x4s have eroded it

To be honest it was pretty crap. one bit called the rocky road was ok but were were packed up and off somewhere else after about an hour. Wont be ging back there in a rush
