haha, this made me chuckle, anyone heard of the Innovan? It's an off-road caravan that you can can hook up to a 4x4 and go 'extreme caravanning'. They're made in Australia, and look like quite good fun.

I'd love to build one of those, I'd prefer the one in this vid though...

i was quite impressed, even considered a caravan for a second or 2, then realised what i was thinking. might get some of the good-years though, they were impressive.

It would be even better if you had an S1-3 landy and used the rear PTO to drive the wheels of the caravan.

Nice idea but IIRC on the Series transfer cases the PTO output is at mainshaft speed not at transfer output speed so you'd need a two-speed transfer on the trailer unless you only wanted trailer drive in low range. For the ideal solution you need an LT95 which was used on 101" and Range Rover - it was designed for use in the 101" with a driven trailer but this was not found to be excellent in certain off-road conditions.

didn't it flip the trailer in certain circumstances?

guess you could counter it with a hydraulicly damped coupling though- would be cool to have a 6x6 101 though- that would be fun!
