tell me about lifted hilux's..any do' s or donts?

i fancy a 90s lifted hilux , mainly for the looks and wouldnt be into serious hardcore off roading

can anyone point me towards some good links where i can read about what to do , whats the realistic limit for a lifted one thats still safe on the road ?
