Trundling along a byway neat Thetford yesterday a came across a bunch of idiots American as it happens. They had been trying to drive through a deep but small mud hole that was not on the byway. They had managed to get a large pickup stuck in the mud hole. One of them said it was only two wheel drive . I considered helping them get it out but once I realised they had been fking around for fun and were making a mess of the lane and a field entrance decided to leave them to their own devices.
I returned that was a while later and they had managed to get the truck out and left. But the st state of the track they left behind was there for all to see.
It's a shame that tts like this give all off roaders such a bad name.

Hi,
you should have taken photographs and involved the Police - too often idiots get away with trespass and vandalism leaving law-abiding laners to pay the price - TROs usually follow and we suffer.
A good example of responsible user and Police co-operation is Derbyshire Police and Operation Blackbrook.

Yes you are right. I’m not sure they would have taken kindly to being photographed though and I was rather keen to disassociate myself from them at the time. you should have taken photographs and involved the Police - too often idiots get away with trespass and vandalism leaving law-abiding laners to pay the price - TROs usually follow and we suffer.
