My new (to me!) Grand Cherokee needs a bit of sprucing in some areas (thats how I tell the Missus it needs a transfer case overhaul) and I want to take it to someone knowledgeable.

Any ideas round my way?

Failing that, a Jeep guru anywhere in the country? Of course I could Google it, but Im looking for people's actual experience of such.

Many thanks

When I had my old XJ Cherokee, I bought used spares from an eBay dealer by the name of Dorset Jeep.

They did a great, cheap, efficient mail order service.

They seem to specialise in old Cherokees, but might be worth a try.

Type "Dorset Jeep" into Google.

I know one in Wilts (near Bath), but that's probably too far for you? Let me know if not.

Can you fill me in on this?

I'll drive a bit to get some good service.

I will call London Jeep today and see what's what.

Edited because I just spoke to a guy there called Sam and he was bloody helpful. Car booked in for Friday.biggrin

So far I've had the best result at a local auto trans specialist. Now I'm just trying to source parts. Viscous coupler on the np249 quadratrac transfer case is seized.

yes

Getting a lift to the nearest tube when I drop it off, which is a good result. Straight into work then.
