Just taken my shiney Full Fat Range Rover to the Quarry at Tixover.

What a great day. And I was very chuffed with the way it performed.
New AT's did a great job.
Stayed away from the really rough stuff.

Enjoyed the "You're not taking that in here are you" from the proper off roader crew.

So you opened a thread, decided it wasn't a very interesting story and then posted "Cool Story Bro".

Why?

Why not just click back and go find another thread that might be of more interest to you, there's loads of them here.

But instead you decide to follow the ovine crowd and post "Cool Story Bro".

Now I'm starting to wonder what you did to get banned from the lounge, only I can't be arsed enough to go and find out.

Big Al.

I'm with Fleckers on this one? And what size are the AT's - 20?

I took my FFRR off road by mistake (sounds like Withnail!), a few weeks ago, and was staggered by its ability. Even on road based continentals.

I only got a few pictures as Mrsjem wouldn't get out.
Will put them up tomorrow.
I have a set of 19 inch AT's which I put on last month.
Great in snow too.

Take it to Yarwell instead its 10minutes away from Tixover and theres much more for you to drive without risking damaging it, its run by the same people. Plenty of stuff like axle twisters, water etc all without dunking it in the lake or the deep mud.
Unless you can play in the clay pit in something better equipped Tixovers not the best site.
People dismiss the Rangies but they're impressive in the mud with all the electric gubbins, worth having a crack just to see what its capable of.

They make the process so simple that even I could do it, no questions asked.

AS compared to me being a complete off-road novice, and cross-axleing Bob in a ditch the first time I tried...

That was the first time I have been 'off road' in it.

Pressed the up button, in low range and in manual.
Didn't need HDC.

I am keen do more, I was very worried about damage but thats the difference between taking it and a £1500 Disco.

What did the Mrs make of it Jeremy? Did she enjoy it? Mine hated it and won'tgo again. Think I scared her a bit with the water and tilt at Sibbertoft. biggrin
