Which crew cab pick up to buy?
Discussion
Current car is ML280. Fine for road work but less capable off road. Need something a bit more versitile in terms of part time farm work etc, while being a reasonable exec car on the road for day job. Needs to have leather (to keep clean) and prefer automatic. Must have plenty of go about it. Im thinking Hilux v Navara v L200. Anybody chipped theirs?

Ram, F150 or Silverado. Petrol with LPG or a big diesel. You might if really lucky find a Dakota but the smaller mid size US trucks are like hens teeth in the UK.

Ford F150 or F250. Or a Dodge Ram. Or a Chevy Silverado.
Ignore people who say they're too big to fit on UK roads, they're lying. If a Range Rover can fit, an F150 can. You'll also look a lot less like a property developer, have a truck which isn't useless at practically everything it's meant to be good at, and you get a hell of a lot more comfort and reliability. The down side is they're left hand drive (not a big deal, takes a few hours to get used to) and you'll look like an American. Small price to pay IMO.
The yanks really do know how to nail a good truck together. No doubt some idiot will be along soon to whinge about the dash plastics not being cuddly and fluffy, such is the time honoured PH fashion, but I've yet to be impressed by any of the trucks available in the UK, and yet to be unimpressed by any of the American ones I've driven. They're the ultimate workhorses, and there's a reason they're some of the best selling vehicles in the states.
