Been searching for a car for the mrs, by getting quotes on random cars and then looking at whichever one turns out cheapest.

the cheapest insurance quote we've found so far ( just under 1k ) is for a Daihatsu terios

What are the opinions on these things?

thinking it will be good in the winter, and once the tyres need replacing, fit some AT's and maybe lure her into doing a little light greenlaning with me ( has a diff lock but no low-range )

considering the requirement spec for the car was "cheap insurance" i think it might be ok... i just dont know anything about them.

What age is your wife? That insurance seems bloody expensive!

I'm paying something like £600 for my Shogun including an accident last year plus insurance for business use and an address inside the M25. I can't imagine that a Daihatsu Terios would cost me more.

I'm still yet to phone anyone up nand mention the 2yr ncd I have sitting unused from when I had 2 cars a few mths ago. If that would make any difference.

Had one in the Carib for 4 months. Went everywhere...fantastic machine and I have had many types of 4x4.
