What do you do with the mud?
Discussion
Whenever I get home after off roading I jet wash the mud off the bottom of the car. The drive has a gentle slope, and the (muddy) water runs off on to the road. The better half doesnt like mud on the drive and the obvious thing is to help it on its way onto the road before I put the pressure washer away. The normal result is that the quiet cul de sac then looks like a farm track for a week or two, then I go off roading again, and add more mud.... Over the years, amazingly, I have never had a complaint from a neighber about this, but even so, I dont want to get their backs up.
The local car wash is meant to do a "chassis wash" on the most expencive program. I dont think it will be as effective as my jet washer, but I was thinking that if it got the worst of it before I jet washed at home it may reduce the problem. Then I thought that after a few goes of running through fresh back from the off roading, they would ban me anyway, so is there any point?
What do other people do? Do you just leave the mud on the car? Do you jet wash away from home?
