yesterday a made a swap with another guy , I told him that my car have some problems with the exhaust and a crack on the windscreen , then he came in to see the car , checked the car ( oil , exhaust , tyres , windscreen ) was happy , and made the swap with his car , my car didn't had mot or road tax , we made an invoice and I asked him if he wants one he told me that No , he gave it to me the slip from his V5 , i signed on the other V5 ( for my car ) and he told me that he will send my papers and his papers to dvla , today he rang me to tell me that his mechanic came and his not happy with the car and wants money on the top of the deal, i written in the invoice that I sold the car as seen , but i have no ideea what to do , can anyone help me please to tell me what to do ?

Stick by your guns ... if it was sold as seen, and was sold under the understanding it didnt have an MOT or TAX, ie was un-road worthy, and was intended for "spares or repair"... sounds like he is pulling a fast one.

stick to your guns he doesnt have a leg to stand on if you buy a car with no mot or tax you pay your money and take your chances particularly as you wrote on the invoice SOLD AS SEEN tell him to take a hike
