I'm keeping my eyes open for an Iveco 4x4 Van, Transit Countyman or High Top Transporter 4x4 (Syncro).

Watching all the usual sources - Ebay, Gumtree, Autotrader etc. Just wondered if anyone had any other forums to keep an eye on?

The Iveco is the favourite at the moment - they were ex mountain rescue / police - but proving hard to locate.

Cheers!

What sort of conversion did you have in mind,

Seen some pretty atrocious attempts on some self build forums, but
these:

seem to manage some tidy jobs from transit vans, up to small trucks

Do you want one to do up or one that's finished?

The Syncros are rare as hen's teeth, I got one of the ex-Transco ones when they were sold off a couple of years ago which is sadly now for sale

Yes it looks like a caravan bolted to a truck, but look at those wheels and that clearance ....

That is actualy really well put together and would probably be a massive saving on a comparative Unimog camper.

That's very nice. There are a lot of lower spec 4x4 Sprinters that were sold off by the Environment agency.
