I've posted a similar question in GG but didn't really get any responses so thought I'd try here:

I've just bought a 99 Grand Cherokee (WJ) 4,7 V8 and have a couple of questions:

Any experiences that mean I should mindful of anything?

The car I got is missing a passenger wing mirror - anyone know where you can get them cheap? (Ebay has very few & they are at £100+ which seem high when Jeep supply for £130 & you can buy new, but non-OEM, in the US for $40-50).

Cheers,

D&C

have you tried to get heat to the drivers side, its a pretty well known failure point, it wont bother you now but give it a few months

I've had one for about 6 years (now use it for green laning)/winter hack/tow car. It's done 100,000 miles with full dealer service history.

Only thing that has gone wrong was a lambda sensor last year. Did also need to replace the front disks after warping last year as well (know issue on the early model - fixed in later version with new thicker disks and different callipers).

I'm a relative newbie to the 4.7 WJ, I've only owned mine for 4 months now, nothing's gone wrong so far... just fitted ATs to it, hoping to take on the plain next time I'm home!
