Do you want to break it?
No, a bit of off-roading, on mainly flat ground will be fine thanks.Any good places you can tell me about?
Off road means usually not flat..... unless you mean a tarmac race track which technically is "off the road"
But sadly there aren't large open areas for people to play on, not in the UK in this day and age and certainly not near London.
If you are wanting to hoon it around, then maybe you could hire somewhere, but safety and insurance will always be issues.
Maybe try joining a car club and attend an autocross, these are usually held on grass of gravel. Bedford Car Club usually run some throughout the year.

Places like http://www.4x4-withoutaclub.co.uk/, and greenlaning is the closest you're gonna get to off-roading in the UK. Unfortunately I can't think of much suitable for an impreza, which is essentially an on-road car with 4 wheel drive.
Maybe go to a jumble sale somewhere and have a play in the overflow carpark. Obviously you'll get kicked out sharpish though.
