Never done anything like this myself in the UK, kinda wonder how my Landy would fair, but I suspect damage and lack of diff lockers wouldn't help.

Most of the capable ones are heavily modded though, Dana, Toyota or Portal axles. Shame Land Rover never saw fit to actually improve the Series IV and IVa Land Rover, aka the 90/110 and Defender.
