Just wondered what the rule was regarding offroad lights for use on the road. I know they have to be downgraded to 55w but it there a limit to how many you are allowed on the vehicle or a set height?
Also must they have there own switch or are they allowed to be on when high beam is on?

what exactly do you mean by off road lights? spots on the bumper? on a roof rack etc etc?

generally they can't be used ono the road, and whilst they could be activated by the main beams, you need to be able to isolate them for road use.

Also they have to be below roof line officially, but the rule seems to get a blind eye turned to it. I have 90/110 W and 85W bulbs in mine, but a seperate on off switch from the road lights.
