so a 260/75 R24 or a 39" tyre

Think you might need to look to the States for that.

It is a "bit" specialist

Why does the rim have to be 24"?

Try Image wheels in Birmingham. They make their own wheels and will do one offs. They've done stuff for film in the past as well IIRC.

ETA They did the jackass the movie giant shopping trolley.

Try this company in the states, they do wheel and tyre combos up to 26".
The only problem might be that all the offroad type tyres for a 24" wheel are in widths greater than you require.

Scroll to the very bottom of the page where you will find all the tyre and wheel dimensions, it's quicker than using their search function.

I have 35" x 12.50" on a 20" rim on my truck

But if you are after some to buy/keep then you will probably need to order them from the USA - What type or bolt pattern/hub is it going on?

Interco tires do the SS-M16 (which is not a particularly agressive off road tire) in 101cm x 36cm on a 24" rim.

most of their other really big stuff is in a 20 or 22" rim- if you can go to 22" you will make your life MUCH easier. have to say whoever specced 24" doesn't have a very good researcher or product manager.

Expect large tyres to take a while and cost a fortune- think £600/tyre realistically.

If you can go smaller, then i can probably organise a set of 40" tyres on a 18" rim at fairly short notice.

there are a couple of other guys that make big tyres, but interoc are about the best known.

24" is the realm of the bigger Unimogs and MB Tracs etc.Problem is on that size rim you'll struggle to get a diameter small enough!

Agreed, thats why I asked earlier if it HAD to be a 24" rim.If they went to a 20", there would be a variety of tyres available that would cover it.Thats unimog size, and there are a huge variety of sizes that would cover it, with tread patterns as aggressive as the punter wants.

give North Hants Tyres 01252 318666 a ring as you can go up to around 40" tall tyres with a 24" rim as we do a lot for Hummer H1's and H2's. Or just drop me an email via my profile.
