My brither has a 4x4, and is afraid of even wet grass. I thought I'd buy him an off road driving day for his birthday, something that would let him experience driving off road.

Any one any experiences, good or bad?

Would you go as far over as the North York moors? I did an offroad session last weekend (my first one) at nyoffroad.co.uk

The chap there is running a TD5 Defender and he was very helpful. 90% of time spent with me behind wheel, taught me loads of stuff, driving techniques, fording techniques and even ended up doing a recovery when a pay 'n player rolled his defender. smile

Thanks for that, N Yorks is too far for a day out (midlands).

Given up on that idea now, he'd probably end up underwatersmile

Whitecliff in the Forest of Dean is pretty good, and you use theirs or your own. Xtreme offroad south of Bristol is good too.

LR Experience at Eastnor?

http://www.landrover.com/experien/en/eastnor/welco...

I've not done any off road training elsewhere, and don't know how prices compare, but it's a great set up at Eastnor especially if you (or you brother) are a LR nut.
