Pay and Play days in Wiltshire(ish)
Discussion
To christen my new Grand Cherry, I'm thinking of doing 2 pay and play days in the next few weeks
Foxham on Mar 21st
Minety on April 4th
I've seen the websites for both locations and they look pretty good - given that my truck is totally standard right now I don't need anything too strenuous!
Anyone got any direct experience of the 2 venues / fancies joining me..... shout up now.

Is Foxham sort of Swindon direction? If it is then I went to a P+P day there ages ago, 5 Range Rovers wobbling up the M4 in convoy.
Had a really good day up there, very small site but really tough going in places, and from memory they had some bizarre (Steam powered maybe?) and very ancient off road lorry that managed to get itself very, very stuck.
My mate bent a conrod and his V8 breathed its last as we crossed Salisbury Plains meaning I had to tow him most of the way back...

Also try looking at Compton basset pay and play days and chalange days.
It's a very big site with lots of exploring to do.
me and a group of mates have spent alot of time there in our discos

Good fun for a mess around. If its quite wet I would give it a miss in your truck as you will spend most your day pretty stuck. Last time we turned up in a standard td5 defender in bad weather the guys who ran it started laughing, we managed to get round most of it ok but a bloke in a standard trooper was struggling a lot. normalbloke said:

cheak out the farr pay and play in the inverness area if you really want to have fun.
google search "farr pay and play 4x4" to find the site
I assume you saw the "Wiltshire" bit????google search "farr pay and play 4x4" to find the site
Given that my house to Inverness is 540 miles one way, that makes a round trip of approx 1100 miles.
The truck does 18mpg on a run, so 61 gallons of fuel at 5 quid a gallon makes it a little over 300 quid in fuel to go and play.....
Now I like to rub the tree huggers' noses in it as much as the next man, but that just might be a step too far!!
Thanks for the suggestion though
