Anybody know Daihatsus well?

Getting tempted by a bargain deal on a '91 Rocky (aka Feroza/Sportrak) as a fixer-upper, have some fun then sell on for a profit kinda thing. Anyway the ad says "motor runs fine but overheats", any of you lot know of common/likely problems?
Its the 1.6 petrol lump which I imagine is pretty simple, only 88,000km (55k miles) on it too. Gonna take a closer look when I can, looks tidy enough in the photos - has been used offroad a bit I think though, has decent M/Ts on it, a dirty engine bay and you can see a hole in the guard where a snorkel has been mounted.

At the price of that one there aren't many other options at all let alone better ones - its going for slightly more than the cost of the tyres on it.
Part of the appeal with them is the removable roof/canopy too (for shooting) which is something hard to find in other comparable vehicles. It would just be a toy (to go with the Legacy and MX5) so the ride isn't much of an issue.

Vitaras are nicer on the road yes, but not really as tough and capable off-road (at least in standard form), there is a convertible version but it appears much less practical, and I haven't seen any in remotely useable condition lately near the price I'm considering this for.
No offense, but I was more interested in answers to the question I asked than a suggestion of another option I'd already considered.

Had a look at it today and think I'm gonna pass - its in pretty good condition all round really but is the version with full-time 4wd and a difflock as opposed to the one with the proper dual-range transfer case (they made both at the same time). But I'd be using the low range a lot for the places I'd take it, so even at that price its probably not worth it for me.
