Lots of people have.

I'd look at the usual suspects, Allisport, Jeremy J Fearn and Twisted Performance.

Sure there are others, but these guys generally know what they are doing.

Maybe. Only to keep this fair and informed for others, but do you have any stats or evidence to back up that claim?

Well I've got an Allisport FMIC in my Disco. They also tuned it and upped the boost. All for £400 fitted. Even on 34" Simex's it'll out perform a stock DII TD5 so must be making more than the 134bhp they make.

I'm pretty happy with it. Allisport claimed a 35% increase in HP. And I'd say 150hp and descent amount of torque is probably correct. Service was great too.

My Uncle has a Jeremy J Fearn intercooler and tuning on his 300TDI and is please with that. Have seen it out gun a 3.5 V8 Rangie.

I've also never heard anything bad about Twisted Performance.

Not saying JE are no good, I honestly don't know. But for a TDI they want £650 (presume + VAT) for what they claim is 132hp. I can't see what the extra £250+ quid would be getting me over what I paid??
confused

For the Puma engine they also seem a little money pinching for removing the speed limmiter, which I assume is just a setting on a table on the software they use. And would take less than 5 seconds to do.

Yet they want £125 extra to do it!

When I had mine done by Allisport he said it was more trouble not to remove the speed limiter.

FWIW I'm happy with what they have done and thought it good value for money.

Twisted are based just down the road from me. I have no experience of them personally, but they have an excellent reputation locally - a chap I know has a 90 running their 200bhp kit and has been very happy with it.

Their latest 90 is also extremely rapid - that I have seen in the flesh and bloody hell a landy shouldn't go that quick.

I have a JE Stage 2 on my Puma and it is bloody lovely. Super power. Just makes the car driveable with no more slowing down when you get to a hill. I paid £1k for it and it's very good value IMHO.

If I were to do it again, however, I might consider a Bell Auto Services gadget. You plug it directly into the ECU port under the steering wheel and then you tell it via the gadget what setting you want, be it full power, a torque setting or, should you wish to return to the Landy dealer for warranty work, back to the factory settings. The problem with the JE upgrade is that it can be flashed by the dealer when they upgrade your software as part of a normal visit to the dealer. If that happens then JE will redo the upgrade at no charge but it's a PITA to go up to Coventry when it happens. Hasn't happened to me yet.
