Im not going due to a crazy wife intent on climbing Snowdon (weather permitting), bit I have some Landrover mates who are desperate to go out on Salisbury Plain this weekend if you wanna get dirty and have fun...

Right, Ive alerted the facebook group to this... see if anyone is up for it.

If your interested, I can probably put a few names together and plan a plains trip one sunday in December ... I know of a Defender in Guildford who would be up for it, a monster Disco, and a few suzuki's

I see nothing happened...

Im planning a little outing in the first week of December. Provoisional Date is Sunday 6th December .. The Place, Salisbury Plain.

Nothing too damaging, light scratches at worst. Good AT Tyres, or Mud Tyres needed as its pretty slippery out there

Hi Jsaon,

Would appear not, i have been asking and watching 4-5 forums and unless i head far North there doesnt seem to be much down here. So,

Deffo up for a Salisbury trip. I have never been and would far rather learn the routes from those that know. I hear getting it wrong and heading down the wrong route can be unpleasent in many ways!

Got the car kitted out just fine, so i would guess the only limiting factor would likely be me!:-)

Be good to chat nearer the time, might have another person interested too.

Cheers

Have already "Lost" 2 vehicles due to mechanical failure, but were still up for it. Start off nice and gentle and see how we go. Planning on North Tidworth Training Area, Pewsey, moving on to Larkhill Artillery Ranges if the Flags are not up, and, if we have time, maybe Imber Village ( again, assuming its not being used by the Army ).

We need pics!

Am currently on the hunt for a cheap and cheerful off roader that I don't mind scratching so will definately be up for a repeat of this. I bet its pretty boggy out there at the moment...

Not true!

There's plenty of good pay & play sites around here. I'm not on the right computer at the moment to delve into my bookmarks, but google Thames Valley 4x4 and 4x4 without a club as starting points. They have regular pay & play days. Go looking for Slab Common and Bordon as well. Military ground in Hampshire which is rented out to 4x4 clubs on weekends.

I've not been out for a while - my SJ is SORNed at the moment with a rear brake issue - but having discovered I can fit the 3 kids across the back of the ZT, I'm now freed up to take the Shogun out again, as I won't get crucified if I temporarily break it, so I'll be up for anything that does get planned.

This is going to be quite possibly the most off-topic post in the history of PH, but how are you getting those settings on your camera? confused

If you take this image as an example, it shows a shutter speed of 1/510th of a second, and a lens aperture of f/4.6. My 450D has 1/500th and f/4.5 as options. I'd always assumed that the aperture and exposure values were a global standard.
