well theres a organised moto x event on the DTA tomorrow, 11 - 2 i believe. marking out the course toady.

one of the organisers told me during a chat, that someone who is very regular trespasser on the dta HAS BEEN CHASED BY THE HELICOPTER, arrested at home and his place of work. So it does happen.

think they said his name was jacko jethro or something like that. apparantly he had an accident a month ago so not been out.

NAME AND SHAME, IF YOU KNOW WHO HE IS, PUT HIS NAME BELOW. WE NEED TO STAND TOGETHER TO PROTECT OUR RIGHTS OF WAY AND GET THE TRESSPASSERS NICKED.

Didn't you post a thread a month ago of yourself trespassing (and getting stuck)? Should we name you?

What good is naming and shaming if this other bloke has already been arrested twice?

"Jason",Whilst I appreciate your noble efforts(off-road club etc) and I believe your heart is in the same place as mine regarding access to the Plain and other areas, my point is just to be careful where this "naming and shaming" leads to.Can you guarantee that your information is correct?Often it is rumour, conjecture or "my mate said",leading to chinese whispers and distorted facts.I think you could do worse than using the systems in place regarding reporting offenders(police,CC,Range Wardens,PCSO),then at least your backside is covered and it would be investigated fairly rather than the internet warriors.
See you up there sometime.

Beyond Rational, if you look through the threads on here you will probably find that I have admited, albeit stupidly to the matters of driving where i shouldn't, and that, I am also currently quite possibly pending prosecution. I was put under police caution, pending further enquiries and that prosecution may or may not follow. That said, learn from my mistakes. Either don't do it, or make a private website LOL.

seriously though, I have learnt the hard way, and thats the whole point of learning, isn't it?

I'd give it up a bit Jason or people may think you're just a nark looking to catch someone who plod /MOD think they know of by nickname....

My attitude on bike or car is to take reasonable care as I can, but if people make an honest mistake and go in the wrong place, I'd never grass them up, there are far more important things for authorities to get involved in, like occasional grading and upkeep of lanes to encourage their use and reduce the number of people who chose to stray off them.

Most lanes round my way are virtually unrideable now, whereas 3 years ago they were well maintained and safe to ride. So people are selling their bikes and getting 4x4s which makes the lanes worse..

Councils dont give a crap about maintaining them as we all know.
