hello i recently bought a defender and want to start off-roading but dont really know how to go about it. is there any good clubs what do green-laning e.t.c situated near durham.Or does anyone know any good routes where you can go legally. thanks adam

If you buy a copy of Total Off Road (any decent sized branch of WH Smith should have it) they have a monthly calendar in the back with all the pay and play sites coming up around the country.

I thought I'd save you a bit of time, and have a look in my copy.

Durham really is a long way away from most of the rest of the country, isn't it! hehe

The only obvious location near you seems to be Pea Farm in a place called Stanley, apparently 10 miles or so outside Durham.

They don't seem to have a website, but can be contacted on 07886 700108. They run on the first and third Sunday of every month, and a quick look on Youtube suggests it looks like a good place to play! --> http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=Qu1puiYetc0
