Got a Samari with a 1000cc swift engine but want a more powerful engine - suggestions. confused

seem to remember that the 1.6 vitara goes in fairly easily.

I'm sure that there are a few out there with a fiat engine also.

I heard peugeot diesels are a good swap, oodles of torque and they don't mind getting wet. You can get adaptors to mate the engine to the suzuki g'box too.

I have actually just bought a damaged Suzuki swift GTI with a 2.0l 4 pot which should be a straight swap and it should give out the performance I'm looking for but thanks anyway - if all else fails the Vitara 1.6l may be another option but the reliable Peugeot could be another option driving

The Toyota 4AGE (1.6 16v) is used fairly often too iirc.
