You would be well advised to check with the local council first. A lot of previously accessible tracks were redesignated a wee while back and we're no longer allowed to use them. The onus is on you to prove you're allowed to be there rather than the other way round, so an out of date OS map would be no defence, and you can potentially have your truck confiscated!
