Anyone with Nissan Patrol experience?

Pondering a mid 90s patrol 2.8 TD as the spiritual successor to my Range Rover. Just wondering if anyone here has owned one and i can ask stupid questions of. The patrol specific web forums seem both a bit to advanced and a bit Aus specific for my rather basic queries.
